Our Practice

Child and Family Psychological Services Clinic is a Wisconsin State Certified Mental Health Clinic offering assessment, evaluation, diagnosis and out-patient mental health treatment of emotional, cognitive and learning disorders. The clinic was founded in 1981 by Dr. Diana Sauter and Nira Scherz-Busch MS,the current owner and director.

Our clinical staff includes Nira Scherz-Busch, MS Licensed Private Practice School Psychologist and Dennis Christoffersen, Psy. D., Licensed Psychologist.  Our clinicians specialize in assessing, diagnosing, treating and advocating for unique learners - gifted and "twice Exceptional" learners and individuals with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADD/ADHD and other developmental learning disorders, who may also have related mental health problems.

We provide ecological assessments and evaluations aimed at knowing and understanding the "whole person," the person's community and enviroment.  We visit and assess our client's schools, workplace observeing their daily activities in addition to conducting individualized testing using standardized and nationally normed tests and measurements.

Our assessments are accepted as disability documentation for :
  • IEPs and Section 504 Plans
  • Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) an evaluation of a child for the purposes of determining a special education program that is performed by personnel outside the school system.
  • National test centers (ACT, SAT, GRE, L-SAT, etc)
  • Governmental vocational agencies such as The Department for Workforce Development (DWD) and The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
  • Workplace accomodations (A.D.A.; Section 504, etc)
